In Life - Debriefed, Thoughts on Writing

I’ve just finished another three congregational hymn arrangements for the upcoming Mercer hymnal. These arrangements were the brain-child of my former minister of music, Mark Edwards. The challenge for me is to create fresh hymn arrangements that are both musically interesting and easy for the congregation to sing along with. I’ve now completed about ten of these for Mercer. I count it a privilege to put my musical fingerprints on some of the most beloved congregational hymns ever, and know that churches around the world will sing these new versions of those wonderful old tunes in worship.
