Songwriting Seminar in Temple, TX

I had the pleasure of teaching at the Temple Area Christian Songwriting Society’s annual seminar this weekend. My thanks to pastor Thomas Allen at Grace Presbyterian, along with George Stansbury and Lon Chaffin of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor . Together thay co-sponsored the event. I was in Temple, TX (a stone’s throw from my old stomping grounds at Baylor) on Saturday and Sunday. I taught alongside Michael Puryear, a verteran songwriter and publisher. My thanks go out to all involved. I was treated to some good Tex Mex, real barbecue and met some wonderful folks and fellow songwriters. 

I applaud the TACSS for creating a songwriter’s association in central Texas. If you live in the area – check it out. They are building a community of writers, aimed at helping one another grow in their creative skills.
