An Even Half Dozen

Last Thursday night, much to my surprise, I won my sixth Dove Award. I wasn’t in Atlanta to accept it, so I trust Tony Wood, my collaborator, said very nice things about me from the stage and to the adoring press that cares so very much about the “Choral Musical of the Year.”

Okay – so the press really doesn’t care much about that category.

Still, I was happy to win. It’s much more fun than losing. (And I’ve lost plenty of times.) The musical, “As Sure as My Redeemer Lives,” is published by my friends at Word Music. It’s really quite good. Modern. Lean. Contemporary. In fact, you should run out right now and buy several copies. Please.
